RANGIROA

I have visited Rangiroa several times in the last five years, but I still find new things to see! On this last adventure there with my husband we even visited the winery! Imagine, a winery on an island in the middle of the South Pacific! Rangiroa is a flat ring of coral encircling a seemingly endless azure blue lagoon that is 110 miles around. There are two pass dives here that boast giant dolphin, sharks, and a myriad of tropical fish & there is very good snorkeling at the Kia Ora Resort. This property has a beautiful lagoon, kicked back atmosphere, and four star plus accommodation. The island itself has a couple of small villages, lots of pensions to stay in, a working Pearl farm with free tours, a winery, tours of the lagoon to the Pink Sands and the Blue Lagoon and friendly people.
